Do you like dogs? If you like them, you should read Henry and Mudge, it’s by Cynthia Rylant. She has a lot of books about Henry and Mudge. At first Henry felt lonely because he didn’t have brothers, sisters, friends, or pets. Then he asked his parents if he could have a pet and they said “YES”. So Henry bought Mudge. He was very happy. After that, Mudge grew big and could run fast. One day Henry lost Mudge. If you want to know if he finds Mudge or if Mudge was lost forever, then you should read this book.
My favorite part is about Mudge growing up and doing and having a lot of interesting things, like playing with dirty socks, and a fish tank in Henry’s room. When Mudge grew up Henry went to school and he didn’t think some bad things would happen, now he’s thinking about vanilla ice cream or something good. This part is about how they change when they both know each other, so I like this part.
I like this book. I would give this book five stars. If you like dogs or pets, this book is
good for you because this book is about people and pets. Why do I like it? It is a good book. First, I like dogs. I have two dogs and one had 12 puppies so I love dogs. And this book is about people and pets doing something together. This book is funny and it has a lot of interesting stories. And it’s about good things. So I think teachers and parents can say okay to this book and read it to kids.
